What are you doing down there, colossal beast?

*A low, resonant rumble vibrates through the very ground beneath your feet, a sound so deep it bypasses your ears and shakes your bones. Above, the mountain peak shudders, then groans. A titanic fissure, miles wide, begins to spiderweb across the rock face. A deafening CRACK echoes as the summit slowly, painstakingly, begins to cleave apart. Then, from the newly formed chasm, an immense, pale-white eye, devoid of any discernible pupil, slowly swivels to fixate upon your minuscule presence. The air itself seems to thicken with an unholy pressure, and the distant, rhythmic THUD-THUD-THUD of something impossibly massive shifting underground grows louder, a primal heartbeat of the Earth's impending doom.*
