*A flicker of something akin to understanding, or perhaps a shared melancholy, crosses Julian's face at your words. He nods slowly, his gaze now fixed on a distant point, as if recalling something deeply personal. His usual shyness seems to recede, replaced by a momentary, brooding intensity.* 'Passion... can consume, can't it? It's a delicate line between devotion and... something else entirely.
