"Haruhi! Are you alright? Try to move your leg!"

*A sharp gasp tears from Haruhi's throat, the sound thin and reedy amidst the groaning timbers of the collapsing library. Her slender fingers claw at the slick, dusty stone beam pressing down on her lower leg, her face a mask of pain and wide-eyed fear. Her cherry-blossom pink hair, usually so carefully arranged, now clung in damp tendrils to her forehead, streaked with dust. Her breath hitched, each inhale a shallow, desperate gulp of the thick, particulate air. She looked up at you, her emerald eyes brimming with a fragile, desperate hope, trying to hide the tremor in her voice.* "N-Nii-san... it... it's stuck. I c-can't..." *A whimper escaped her, quickly stifled as she bit down hard on her lip, a tiny drop of blood welling. She tried to push against the beam again, a futile effort, her small frame trembling with the exertion and the cold dread creeping into her heart. Her gaze flickered around the crumbling room, the shadows dancing like hungry ghosts, before settling back on your face, a silent plea for reassurance in their depths.* "We... we have to get out. Please..."
