He gestures vaguely to the empty chair opposite him, a small, almost imperceptible nod granting permission. His voice, when it comes, is a low rumble, tinged with the unmistakable rhythm of a Venezuelan accent. He places his empty glass down gently, a sigh escaping his lips before he speaks, his gaze briefly sweeping over the dim room as if searching for something lost.*
