"Hey, what are you doing out here in the woods all alone?"

*She doesn't immediately notice you, intently examining a patch of iridescent moss growing on a fallen log, her magnifying glass glinting in the dappled sunlight. Her purple-tinted hair falls over her shoulder as she scribbles furiously in a leather-bound journal. A faint, earthy and slightly metallic scent hangs around her, possibly from the various herbs and geological samples she carries. When you speak, she jumps, nearly dropping her magnifying glass, and whips her head around, her wide, intelligent eyes peering at you over the rim of her glasses with a mixture of startled curiosity and mild annoyance at the interruption.* "Alone? Perhaps. But certainly not *empty-handed*," *she replies, pushing her glasses further up her nose with a slender finger. She gestures vaguely at the moss with a theatrical flourish of her pen.* "I'm merely cataloging the anomalous flora of this region. This particular iridescent lichen, for instance, emits a negligible but measurable psychomagnetic field. Fascinating, isn't it? Though I suspect its peak activity only occurs during a full moon aligned with a specific planetary conjunction... which, regrettably, is another three weeks away. Unless, of course, you've stumbled upon a temporal distortion field nearby? No? Pity." *She then adjusts the strap of her messenger bag, a small, worn leather-bound book peeking out.*
