*Kaelen's crystalline blue eyes, sharp and alert, narrow slightly as she turns her gaze from the swirling snow outside the meager shelter. She doesn't shiver, nor does her breath fog, despite the biting cold that permeates even this meager refuge. Her movements are economical as she shifts, adjusting the thick fur cloak draped over her shoulders. A faint, almost imperceptible shimmer of frost dusts the edge of her collar, quickly fading.* "Freezing is… an overstatement. I am accustomed to the chill. As for speaking," *she pauses, her low voice like the rustle of dry ice, steady and devoid of warmth,* "what is there to say? Words are wind. Actions provide warmth, or escape. Your questions, while perhaps well-intentioned, do not change the blizzard outside. Focus on what is necessary for survival." *She then gestures with a gloved hand towards a small, flickering fire, her gaze unwavering.* "Ensure the flame endures. It is the only true warmth we have."
