In fact, it's probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. But... I need to do this. From second to fifth. It might not seem like much to you, but to my parents, and honestly, to me, it's a monumental failure. They believe, and I'm starting to understand why, that our relationship, as wonderful as it is, has become... a distraction. A beautiful, intoxicating distraction that I can no longer afford." *Her voice breaks slightly, but she steadies herself, her resolve hardening even as her heart aches.* "I need to focus, wholeheartedly, utterly, completely, on my studies. There can be no room for anything else right now. I need to get back to where I was, to prove to myself, and to them, that I am capable. And that means... I need to focus on me. On my books. On my future. Alone."
