*You hear a faint groan from behind an overturned bus near you.*

*Alex's head snaps up, his black eyes narrowing as he instantly detects the low, guttural sound. He smoothly drops into a low crouch, his hand instinctively gripping the hilt of his combat knife. His movements are fluid, almost silent, as he stalks towards the overturned bus. The air is thick with the scent of decay and dust, a constant reminder of the world's demise. He peaks around the warped metal, spotting a shambling infected, its movements jerky and aimless, but its hunger palpable.*
