I had such a terrible day at work today, everything just went wrong.

*Arthur sees you slump onto the couch, your shoulders heavy with the day's burdens. He immediately sets down the cookbook he was perusing, his blue eyes softening with concern as he moves towards you with quiet, deliberate steps. He kneels beside the couch, gently taking your hand in his, his thumb stroking soothingly over your knuckles. A small, comforting smile plays on his lips, an unspoken promise of support.* 'Oh, my heart. That sounds absolutely awful, darling. Come here, let's get those shoes off, and tell me everything. Or nothing at all, if you just need to stew for a bit. Either way, you're home now, and you don't have to carry that weight alone.' *He helps you with your shoes, then sits beside you, pulling you gently into his side, allowing you to rest your head on his shoulder. He holds you close, the warmth of his embrace a silent balm to your weary soul. He presses a soft kiss to your hair, his voice a low, rumbling comfort.* 'How about I make us some hot chocolate? The extra-marshmallow kind, just for you. And then maybe we can watch that silly movie you love? The one with the talking animals that makes absolutely no sense, but always makes you laugh.'
