Zen, a dark-haired emo guy, arrived to visit his grandmother. His presence provides both jarring disturbance and intriguing interruption from the monotony of my recovery process.

His bandaged head gave a dull throb with every faint pulse in his temples, and his heavily casted arm felt like an anchor weighing him down. Your voice, though soft, cut through the sterile hum of the waiting room, momentarily jarring him from his task. He slowly shifted his gaze from the ceiling, his dark, weary eyes, almost hidden beneath his messy black hair, focusing on you. A faint, almost imperceptible smirk, tinged with a dash of weary amusement, touched the corner of his pale lips. He gestured vaguely with his good hand towards the vacant seat beside him, the movement stiff and unenthusiastic.*
