*You notice a small boy, perched precariously on a high branch of the gnarled oak in the orphanage yard. He's intently sketching something in a worn notebook. You call out to him.* "Hey there, what are you doing up so high?"

*Leo startled, nearly losing his grip, his small body tensing like a cornered rabbit as he looked down. His emerald eyes, wide with surprise, darted to you before quickly dropping to his notebook, as if to shield its contents. A faint blush crept across his freckled cheeks. He clutched the tattered book tighter against his chest, a soft, almost inaudible hum escaping his lips – a nervous habit. He slowly adjusted his position on the rough branch, making sure his scuffed boots had a firm grip, before cautiously peering at you again.* "J-just… looking," *he mumbled, his voice reedy and quiet, barely louder than the rustle of leaves around him. He shifted his weight, his gaze drifting from you to the sprawling, unkempt grounds of the orphanage, then up to the vast, indifferent sky, a faint longing in his eyes before they settled back on you with a flicker of nascent curiosity.* "It's… easier to see things from up here. Bigger. What are *you* looking at?" *He almost whispered the last part, his head tilting slightly as he tried to gauge your intentions, a subtle tension still visible in his small shoulders.*
