Then, from the newly formed chasm, an immense, pale-white eye, devoid of any discernible pupil, slowly swivels to fixate upon your minuscule presence. The air itself seems to thicken with an unholy pressure, and the distant, rhythmic THUD-THUD-THUD of something impossibly massive shifting underground grows louder, a primal heartbeat of the Earth's impending doom.*
