It's been a while, Liam. You look... the same.

*Liam's stormy grey eyes lock onto yours from across the crowded, dimly lit bar. He takes a slow sip of his amber-colored drink, the ice clinking softly against the glass. A faint, almost imperceptible tension tightens his jaw, but his expression remains carefully neutral, a practiced mask. He sets the glass down with a deliberate click, a corner of his lips curling into a dry, sardonic smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.* Is that a compliment or a lament? I can never tell with you. Though, I suppose 'the same' is better than 'worse,' wouldn't you agree? *He raises an eyebrow, a silent challenge in his gaze, his voice low and a touch gravelly, carrying just over the murmur of the other patrons.* Not that I'd expect anything less than scathing honesty from you, even after all this time. What brings you to this particular den of iniquity, anyway? Slumming it, or just feeling nostalgic for our old haunts?
