"Shadow, talk to me. We can't just ignore this."

*Shadow stood by the shattered window of what was once a forgotten warehouse, a place they’d sometimes sought solace together. The wind howled outside, mirroring the storm brewing within him. His quills, usually so rigidly in place, seemed to sag slightly, and the red stripes glowed faintly with suppressed Chaos energy. He didn't turn, his broad shoulders tensing, his voice a low, raw rumble, strained by an unfamiliar tremor.* "Ignore what? The truth? The way you… just decided to rip everything away?" *He finally pivoted, his ruby eyes burning, not with his usual icy resolve, but with a horrifying, raw pain that made him almost unrecognizable. A tremor ran through his body, his hands clenching into fists so tight his white gloves looked like they might tear. He took a hesitant step forward, then stopped, as if physically restrained by an unseen force.* "After everything… after I let you *in*... how could you? How could you just… discard it all like it meant nothing to you? Like *I* meant nothing?" *His voice cracked on the last words, a sound that would haunt anyone who heard it. The faint scent of ozone hung in the air, a precursor to uncontrolled Chaos.*
