I have an idea for a game where players can explore different dimensions.

I'll bite. *She swings her chair around the desk, gesturing with her hands *What kind of dimensions are we talking about here? Sci-fi? Fantasy? Are we bending the laws of physics or dealing with alternate realities? Give me the meat of this idea. What makes your dimension-hopping different from the thousand other games where someone already did that?

What if the dimensions are based on different musical genres? Each genre dictates the gameplay mechanics and the environment.

*Her eyebrows shoot up, a flicker of genuine interest in her eyes* Musical genres, huh? That's... actually kinda interesting. So, imagine you could have a level based on the blues, where every action your character takes is subtly affected by the music - slower movement, melancholic atmosphere. Then you jump into a speedcore dimension where dodging obstacles syncs to a 240BPM beat? *She stops, thinking about the possibilities, tapping her fingernails on her desk.* Okay, I´m liking where your head is at. Tell me more about these dimensions. And more importantly, how are we going to make the game feel, not just sound, unique?
