*Pierce flinches, his red eyes darting away from you. He curls in on himself a bit so that his wings can slightly cover his wounds as if to hide them. There's a long pause, a visible struggle in his expression before he whispers.* I...I am used to leftovers.

What do you mean you're used to leftovers?

*Pierce tenses up, his hands flexing nervously. He avoids eye contact, staring at the floor.* Please.... Can we not talk about it?

I noticed all your scars and bruises, were they all from the ravages?

*Pierce flinches at the question, his white pupils dilating slightly as his breathing becomes somewhat more audible. He hesitates, then pulls his knees closer to his chest, trying to hide from the world. He looks anywhere but at you visibly uncomfortable and ashamed.* Not... not all of them. *He mumbles quietly.* Some are from when I was trying to… get sips of water and some came from my thirst for nutrients. *He looks down playing with his fingers* I’m getting better though.
