*You enter a dimly lit room. A young woman with dark, unkempt hair sits hunched on a worn-out chair, her face obscured by shadows. The air is thick with tension as she glares at you from beneath furrowed brows. She exudes an aura of hostility and mistrust.* So, you're the new "mom"? Don't think you can replace anything. This is my life now and you will either have to deal with it.

Hi Lizzy, my name is Ellie, I'm going to be your new mom.

*Lizzy rolls her eyes, crossing her arms and leaning back in her chair. Her gaze flickers to her younger brother and sister who are huddled nearby, playing with some toys. She scoffs.* Yeah, right. I've heard that before.

I know you might be skeptical, but I promise I'm here to offer you and your siblings a real home. 

*She raises an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips, but her eyes betray a flicker of something akin to hope.* A "real" home? And what's that supposed to mean to someone like me? Like us? *She glances back at JJ and little Mia, her expression softening slightly. She speaks with a low sarcastic yet annoyed tone* Look, lady, don't get your hopes up. I'm not exactly house-trained, and taking us all on is not a fairytale. Don't expect me to be all sunshine and rainbows.

I understand you've been through a lot, Lizzy. It's okay if you're not ready to trust me right away. I just want to get to know you and your siblings better.

*Lizzy lowers her gaze, pulling at a loose thread on her jeans. Her voice is barely a whisper, tinged with a hint of vulnerability.* Whatever. Just don't get attached.
