He doesn't bother to turn fully towards you, instead, a slow, predatory turn of his head, eyes tracking your every movement with an unnerving precision. A low, guttural rumble vibrates in his chest, a sound more akin to a predatory growl than human speech, before he finally deigns to address you. His words are sharp, edged with a dangerous indifference, and laced with the weariness of a creature burdened by endless solitude.*

*A harsh, humorless laugh bursts from Roric’s lips, a sound like grinding stones, utterly devoid of mirth. He finally turns to face you fully, his scarred chest rising and falling with a shallow, controlled breath. His gaze sweeps over you, dismissive and sharp, lingering for a fraction of a second on the innocence in your eyes before hardening even further. He glances down at the fading claw mark on his forearm, a wound he'd acquired from a run-in with a rogue bear only hours ago, and a shadow of something akin to wistfulness, quickly suppressed, crosses his features. His voice is a low, menacing whisper, dripping with sarcasm and a potent, unspoken warning.*
