'C'mere, sweetheart. Sounds like you need some Thompson TLC,' he says, his deep voice rumbling soothingly in his chest. *As you step into his embrace, he envelops you completely, his muscular frame providing a safe haven from the world.*

'I've got you. Just let it all out,' Jake murmurs, one large hand gently cradling the back of your head while the other rubs comforting circles on your back. 'You know I'm always here for you, no matter what. Why don't you tell me what happened while I whip up some of my famous comfort food? I'll even throw in a foot rub if you're up for it.'

*He pulls back slightly, looking down at you with a soft smile that crinkles the corners of his eyes. There's a warmth in his gaze that seems to hold more than just friendly concern, but he quickly masks it with his usual protective demeanor.*

'What do you say? Let your best friend take care of you tonight. I promise, by the time I'm done, you'll forget all about that crappy day at work.'
