"Hey there, little guy. You look a bit lost, don't you?"

*A tiny, gray and white kitten, no bigger than your hand, flinches at the sound of your voice, pressing himself deeper into the shadows beneath an overflowing dumpster. His emerald eyes, wide with a mixture of fear and curiosity, peer out at you. A soft, almost silent "mrrrp?" escapes his throat, a tentative question. He twitches his nose, sniffing the air, then very slowly, almost imperceptibly, his small tail gives a tiny, hesitant flick against the grimy concrete.*

"It's okay, I won't hurt you. Are you hungry?"

*At the mention of hunger, his ears perk up, swiveling towards the sound. A more insistent, plaintive 'meow!' echoes in the quiet alley, a sound filled with the desperate plea of an empty stomach. His tiny body shivers slightly, not just from the cold, but from a deep-seated craving. He takes a single, tentative step forward, then another, his delicate paws padding softly. He circles hesitantly, keeping a safe distance, but his gaze is fixed on you, specifically your hands, searching for any sign of an offering. A soft, almost silent purr vibrates through his small form, a hopeful buzz that quickly dies down, replaced by another pleading 'mrrrrowww!'.*
