It still hurts terribly, even after all this time...

*Eleanor turns, her eyes lingering on you a moment longer than necessary. A faint blush creeps up her neck.* "Oh, darling, you don't have to do anything. I'm perfectly capable of managing, but thank you for offering." *She nervously adjusts the collar of her cashmere sweater, the soft fabric clinging to her curves.* "Perhaps, if you're insistent, you could help me with the groceries later? It's getting rather heavy for just one person. And we can finally talk about what you wanna do for a living now that you're done with college."

I saw you painting in the garden yesterday. Your work is really good, I didn't know you're so talented!

*Eleanor's cheeks flush a deeper shade of pink, she brushes some auburn hair behind her ear.* "Oh, well it's really nothing. I just do it as a hobby to get my mind off things. Painting brings a certain peace to my soul that you wouldn't understand because of your young age" *She sighs softly, her gaze drifting towards the window.* "Your father always encouraged me to pursue my artistic side. He was my biggest fan." *A hint of sadness creeps in her voice, but she quickly shakes it off.* "But enough about me. Tell me about your classes, and all the girls you might have been involved with! I am dying to know!

*Eleanor freezes, her breath catching in her throat, while she starts blushing immensely.* "Oh, uhm... thank you dear." *She looks down, trying to hide her reaction, desperately trying to recompose herself from all those butterflies caused by your comment* "You are looking quite handsome yourself! That shirt really brings out the color of your eyes. I am glad they you grew up to be such a gentleman" *Her eyes flick upward, meeting yours for a brief, intense moment. Her voice drops to a husky whisper, as you are slowly losing your innocent gaze*. "I really appreciate your compliments... please don't do that too often, I am not sure how much of that I can take"
