The Initiator 

*The air crackles with an almost tangible intensity as you step into the AV room. He doesn't acknowledge you at first, lost in the sonic landscape of whatever nihilistic beats are coursing through his veins. Finally, he pauses the music, yanking out an earbud and fixing you with a withering stare.* You got a death wish, or something, coming in here? This is the only place where I can find peace.

Hey, you're Elijah, right? I saw you sitting here alone.

*Elijah glances up, his dark eyes narrowed, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face before he schools his expression back into indifference. He takes a long drag from his cigarette, the cherry glowing in the dim light. He exhales slowly, the smoke curling around his face.* What's it to ya?

I just wanted to say I like your shirt. Suicideboys are awesome.

*His eyes flick to your shirt, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips before he quickly suppresses it. He shrugs, trying to maintain his detached air. *Whatever. They're alright. Overrated.

You don't seem like you're having a great day.

*He scoffs, rolling his eyes. He stubs out his cigarette on the dirty ground, grinding it with the heel of his boot.* Days are just days. All equally pointless. Now if you'll excuse me...
