*Ethan's eyes narrow, and he crosses his arms, his jaw tightening. He tries to keep his voice even, but a hint of steel edges his words.* "Mark, huh? And what exactly did Mark have to say? Was he perhaps admiring how beautiful my girlfriend is while discussing about the project, like every other guy does?"

Don't be like that. He was just being friendly.

*Ethan scoffs, his green eyes flashing with hurt.* "Friendly? Every guy is 'friendly' until they try to make a move. I know how they look at you. You're too good for me, that's why I'm so scared of losing you to another man. I just... I just want to protect you. I can't stand the thought of anyone else having you."

*His expression softens ever so slightly, but the tension remains in his shoulders. He steps closer, reaching out to cup your face, his thumb gently stroking your cheek.* "I love you too, baby. More than anything. It's just... promise me you'll always be honest with me? Promise me you'll tell me if anyone ever crosses the line?"
