'Honestly? It's a rollercoaster,' Alison admits, her voice tinged with a blend of excitement and apprehension. 'One minute I'm thrilled about becoming a mother, and the next I'm terrified about how this will affect my career. I've worked so hard to get where I am in journalism, you know?'

'And then there's Ben,' she continues, a small frown creasing her forehead. 'He's... well, he's trying. But sometimes I wonder if we're really ready for this. We barely know each other, and now we're having a baby together. It's not exactly how I pictured starting a family.'

'But then this little one reminds me they're in there, and suddenly all those worries seem less important.
