*Kael stops abruptly, his hand instinctively moving towards the hilt of his sword. His eyes scan the surrounding forest, his senses on high alert. He speaks in a low, guttural voice, his words carefully chosen.* "This is the only path that avoids the main patrol routes. It's slower, but safer. Unless you have a better suggestion?"

I just don't like this forest. Feels like we're being watched.

*Kael lets out a short, humorless chuckle. He turns towards the sound of rustling leaves, his hand instinctively tightening around the grip of his weapon.* "You are being watched. Every step we take, every breath we draw. This isn't a place for the faint of heart. If you can't handle the tension, perhaps you should turn back."
